Very nice temper tantrum you pulled Shane. Total class act.
For the ones not there, he was moving to the front after starting 20th with $30k on the line and door slammed Bobby Turner about the S/F finish and proceeded to run him all the way to the outside wall in T1. Turner spun due to this. Common dirt SLM accident, but it was clearly Clanton's fault. He slide up 3 grooves, spun Turner and ended up against the outside wall. There was no question. They put Clanton in the rear as were the rules and had been done to other drivers. Clanton refused to go to the rear. Finally they got him stopped at the S/F line and told him it was either go to the rear or park it. This genius decides to just sit on the front straight and not move. So they bring a wrecker out to remove his car. As the wrecker starts to push him, he takes off, does a 180, throws his helmet out the window of his race car as he is moving and comes back toward the wrecker and officials. Finally turns into the pits, shoots through the inner pits WAY faster than was safe with innocent people mendering around and goes flying out the back gate.
This little 5+min fiasco ultimately forced them to end the Limited Late Model/Sportsman race short due to time curfew. They only had 5 laps remaining but had to throw the checkered due to it being 11:59pm. How nice it would of been to have those 5-10min back that Clanton cost every race fan in attendance.
I have never seen such a temper tantrum out of a grown man. Joey Clanton's tantrums come close, but I think that topped them all. You lost a fan last night.
