Jesse,
I want to start off by saying my wife and I love watching you race! I think my wife was about to go nuts watching the Ralph Lathem Memorial, that was some tough competition!
I've been wanting to find out some of the engine rules for Late Models, and every set of rules I see seems somewhat undescriptive in the engine department. I was wondering, is there a cubic inch limit on these motors, or a cfm limit on these carbs? Also, what size motors are most guys running on average and what is the peak rpm you usually reach on a track like Florence?
We're in the sport of tractor pulling, but over the last 2 or 3 years I've been bit by the racing bug in a big way and want to learn more.
I pull a tractor powered by a 1649 cu in Rolls Royce V-12, like that of an old Canadian Spitfire airplane. It's a bunch of fun, but I can honestly say I believe I have as much fun just watching you guys race as I do pulling tractors.
Good Luck to you this season and if we ever get to a race early enough to make it to the pit area we hope to meet you someday!
Thanks for any info.
